전시개요

This two-artist exhibition brings together Woo Hyun-ah and Minji, whose works offer unique perspectives on modern life, individuality, and human nature through distinct visual languages.

Woo Hyun-ah, widely loved by both corporations and the public for her vibrant color palette, captures fragments of everyday life through her signature character, "Rami." Her work features bold colors and simple yet intuitive imagery, evoking the innocence of childhood while emphasizing the beauty and happiness found in daily moments.

Minji, on the other hand, explores human nature as social beings, depicting animals as metaphors for modern society. As civilization expands, humans construct cities and larger communities to coexist, yet no society is ever flawless. Her works reflect the struggles, instincts, and emotions of individuals navigating the complexities of contemporary life, using animals to symbolize the challenges we all encounter.

This exhibition offers a striking contrast between playful, uplifting expressions of joy and deeper, contemplative narratives on coexistence and survival in modern society.

이번 2인전은 우현아와 민지 작가의 작품을 통해 현대인의 삶과 사회적 관계를 색다른 시각으로 조망하는 자리입니다.

우현아 작가는 톡톡 튀는 색감과 감각적인 표현력으로 기업과 대중들에게 사랑받고 있습니다. 그녀의 시그니처 캐릭터 '람이’를 통해 일상의 한 순간을 포착하고, 강렬한 컬러로 생동감 있게 표현합니다. 단순하지만 직관적인 이미지 속에서 동심의 순수함이 느껴지며, 일상의 행복과 소중함을 전달하는 것이 그녀의 작업의 핵심입니다.

민지 작가는 현대 사회 속 인간의 본능과 감정을 동물을 통해 은유적으로 표현합니다. 인간은 도시를 건설하고 더 큰 공동체를 형성하며 살아가지만, 완벽한 사회는 존재할 수 없습니다. 시대가 변하고 사회가 발전해도 각자가 마주하는 현실적인 고민과 문제들은 계속해서 우리를 시험합니다. 그녀의 작품은 21세기를 살아가는 우리의 현실적인 경험과 감정을 동물의 형상을 빌려 표현하며, 이를 통해 현대 사회를 이야기합니다.
