Shin Jia × Seo Youyoung

The two artists explore the notions of trace and layer in their own distinct ways.

Shin Jia builds layers of time on the canvas through repeated brush movements and the textures of paint, while Seo Youyoung transparently overlaps memories and emotions to portray the landscapes of the inner world.

This exhibition delves into the traces of existence revealed through layers of emotion—accumulated, erased, and transformed beyond visible forms.

Though their visual languages differ, together they compose a quiet dialogue through the shared theme of “layers.”

신지아 × 서유영 2인전

작가들은 서로 다른 방식으로 ‘흔적’과 ‘층’을 다룬다.

신지아는 반복된 붓의 움직임과 물감의 결을 통해 시간의 흔적을 화면 위에 쌓아올리고,

서유영은 기억과 감정의 층위를 투명하게 중첩하며 내면의 풍경을 그려낸다.

이 전시는 눈에 보이는 형상 너머,

쌓이고 지워지는 감정의 레이어를 통해 드러나는 존재의 흔적을 탐색한다.

각자의 화면은 서로 다른 언어로 표현되지만,

결국 ‘겹’이라는 공통된 주제를 통해 하나의 조용한 대화를 완성한다.
